Darth Vader Is So Goddamn Cute

If you haven't seen the Volkswagon commercial where a kid is dressed as Darth Vader, go watch it.

They unmasked Darth on the Today Show and I was surprised to see they actually cast a cute kid in the role. They probably could have saved money by using an ugly kid, since the role involved a mask.
Like they did with Chewbacca.
Much like the real Darth Vader, Max defied death by replacing part of his body with machinery. He was born with a congenital heart defect and had a pace maker put in.

Beavis and Butt-head are Coming Back

YES! Beavis and Butt-head are coming back to MTV this year and will both be voiced by Mike Judge, who's career has been pretty damn awesome.

Smallville Fans are Patient

I've always liked Marvel WAY more than DC. Whenever that came up in conversation (not surprisingly, kind of a lot) someone always says "Well, what about Batman?". Yes. Batman is ok, but he doesn't make up for Plastic Man, Aquaman, Booster Gold, and the rest of the DC jobbers. Green Lantern is going to have a good year, but I attribute that more to Ryan Reynolds' abs then to Hal Jordan's winning personality.

As you can probably figure out, I don't care about Smallville. I like the premise: Clark Kent's life before he turned into Superman, but I don't really care about Superman all that much so that isn't all that appealing. But the premise is cool and I respect that the writers can spend 9 years fighting the urge to have him jump into a phone booth and fly off.

So, after 9 seasons it looks like Superman is finally going to look like Superman and put on the iconic suit. Its impressive that ANY show could go so long, and fans of the show seem to be die-hards. You can catch a new episode on January 29th at 8/7c on The CW Channel (now, send over free stuff).

Leon Gets Up In Fox's Ass

JB Smoove, better known as Leon on Curb Your Enthusiasm, flipped it on Fox and topsy turvy'd their ass into giving FOX his own show.  I don't know anything about the inner workings of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I do know this: Leon was part of a story arc that was over and they kept him around. Him and Larry have an amazing chemistry, but that may back fire on him.  Its gonna be hard to break away from all the crazy shit he says in Curb and go to a network sitcom with different standards and practices.

He's written for SNL, starred in world renowned Pootie Tang (I actually like that movie), Date Night, and a bunch of other stuff, so the dude has proven that he's funny.  Hopefully FOX lets him bring the ruckus and do his thing.

FOX show not withstanding, Smoove is committed to 10 more episodes of next season's Curb, so either way we all win.
